This felt bush sits at the top of TR2-3B steering columns and rapidly flattens to ensure there is considerable and lasting up and down and side to side movement between the inner and outer steering columns.
To overcome this, Revington TR have designed a version of the 'gimbal' style bearing used at the top of the 'split type' lower column and on all TR4-6. The new design incorporates a close tolerance plastic bush with polyurethane tyre producing the 'gimbal' effect. Sold singularly to replace 043314 as RTR3492-1K or as a kit RTR3492K which includes 3 bushes to service split type columns top and bottom. See below
