This new gauge is indistinguishable from an original when installed in the dashboard. Consider also exchange part 110895EX or a second hand part 110895SH.

This new gauge comes with a 92" (2.337m) capillary tube. As can be seen in the photograph the instrument has a steel casing but unlike the original part has more modern and sophisticated internal lighting via its own bulb and holder, unlike the original where some light is expected to enter the side of the instrument via a small window. This light being provided by a bulb shared between two instruments.

If a cheap option is required consider using modern style gauge calibrated in degrees Centigrade, part number 110895X,  

Revington TR recommends fitting Brass Adaptor RTR8155 between the glandnut and the thermostat housing. See below
