Conversion steel exhaust Valve Guide for fitment to TR2-4 up to CT27410. Suitable for valves having a shaft diameter of 5/16" (7.94mm), the guide has an outside diameter of 17/32" [0.5355"](13.49mm). The guide is 2.0625" long

This special guide exists so that later type valves and all performance valves which have a stem diameter of 5/16" can be fitted to TR2-4 heads that were originally intended for valves with 3/8" stems and used a guide with an outside diameter of 17/32".

The Bronze version of this guide is RTR1206 which is used in the Valve Guide kit RTR1049 for TR2-4 listed below

For reference a late TR4 - TR4A head has guides to suit 5/16" valves stems with an outside diameter of 0.5025" (12.76mm) in all 8 locations.

Note that valve guides are supplied with the I/D approximately 0.003" undersize so that once fitted they are honed out to be a perfect fit to the valve stem. Likewise the O/D is 0.003" oversize to ensure an interference fit in the cylinder head
