The cheaper options have very small landings under the fixings and poor seating for the water temp bulb. Also a common problem with these water housings is dissimilar metal corrosion occurring between the temperature sender unit and the aluminium casting.To overcome this Revington TR has produced a brass adaptor RTR8155, which is permanently fitted to the casting, allowing the temperature sender to be screwed into this rather than directly into the casting.
