TR4A New cast iron cylinder head. This head is supplied bare, without guides, seats core plugs or pushrod tubes fitted and without the combustion chamber machining, allowing for personalised modification. Suitable for all high port applications TR3-4A

There is nothing done to accept seats as this is usually the responsibility of whoever supplies and fits the seats and will be governed by the size of the valves to be used. The pushrod tubes have to be bought and fitted as have the core plugs. The chamber size is as near standard for an 86mm engine as is practical given there are no valve seats fitted and that the combustion chamber is un-machined. This is the head we recommend for those wishing to have the head worked to their own specification.

Pushrod tubes 100792 will need to be purchased separately and pressed into the head. This head will also fit TR2-4 with suitable manifolds and gaskets. We also supply this cylinder head in aluminium and built up with valves fitted. See below
 
We also have available 511695X and 511695AX which are the same head with core plugs and pushrod tubes fitted.
 
Please be aware that the shroud over the inlet valves, which is usually removed when a cylinder head is 'worked' has been omitted on these heads. This modification provides a great improvement in gas flow but does require the use of a solid copper gasket to ensure a reliable gas tight seal. RevingtonTR sell a range of suitable gaskets, the thickness of which can be chosen to provide a desired compression ratio. Please see the list below.
