Whilst the doors on TR4-6 look largely the same, there are in fact 6 different door types fitted across the range. Some are interchangeable and some are not as will be explained below. Where doors are not available new we supply second hand doors complete as well as new skins in both steel and aluminium. Inner doorframes to suit TR250, 5 and 6 are available separately too. See below

950123 LH and 950124 RH TR4 early door complete. Fitted up to Body No. 22343CT only. Not available new, either use a second hand part or repair your old frame using the parts listed below. This door uses the vertical plastic covered check strap. This check strap was deleted during TR4 production in favour of the horizontal metal strap that was used to the end of TR6 production. Can be used on later TR4 and TR4A as the later check strap can be accommodated. TR4-4A doors cannot be used on TR250, 5 or 6, or visa versa as the closing mechanisms are completely different.

903549 LH and 903550 RH TR4 late (fitted from Body No. 22343CT) and all TR4A door complete. Not available new, either use a second hand part or repair your old frame using the parts listed below. This door uses the horizontal metal check strap that was used to the end of TR6 production. Cannot be used on early TR4 as the early check strap cannot be accommodated.

TR4-4A doors cannot be used on TR250, 5 or 6, or visa versa as the closing mechanisms are completely different.

907757 LH and 907758 RH door complete, fitted to TR250, 5 and both USA spec TR6 (CC series) and non USA TR6 (CP series) and CR cars up to CR5000, 1967 to 1972. This door has no side impact bar and no provision for the later flush fitting door pull pocket. To fit to later cars where the door pull pocket is used, the inner frame will need to be cut out accordingly.

634833 LH 634834 RH door complete, fitted to USA TR6 CR cars from CR5001 onwards, 1972 to 1975. This door has no side impact bar but does have provision for the flush fitting door pull pocket. This door will fit without alteration to all USA spec TR6 as well as earlier Non USA spec TR6 and TR250, TR5.

917559 LH and 917560 RH door complete, fitted to USA spec TR6 CF1 to CF12500, 1972 to 1973. This door has a side impact bar but no provision for the later flush fitting door pull pocket. To fit to later cars where the door pull pocket is used, the inner frame will need to be cut out accordingly. This door will fit without alteration to all early USA spec TR6 as well as earlier Non USA spec TR6 and TR250, TR5 where the flush fitting door pull pocket is not used.

634833 LH 634834 RH door complete, fitted to USA TR6 cars from CF12501 to CF56328, 1973 to 1976. This door has side impact bar and does have provision for the flush fitting door pull pocket. This door will fit without alteration to all USA spec TR6 as well as earlier Non USA spec TR6 and TR250, TR5.
