New uprated clutch plate TR4A-6 uprated, Borg and Beck, type 8.5" diameter. Weight 1.4kg.

The combination of this plate and cover RTR1051 works well for fast road/hillclimb, sprint and rally with power up to 150 BHP at the wheels. Above this, a sintered bronze clutch should be considered. This clutch can also be used on TR2 4 with either an aluminium or re drilled steel flywheel, in conjunction with a 147858PB carrier and GRB211HD TR4A-6 release bearing.

This cover can also be used in TR2-4 where the flywheel has been re-drilled to accept the diaphragm cover.

Two types of clutch assemblies consisting of a driven plate and a cover assembly were fitted to TR4A, 250, 5 and 6, Borg and Beck being one manufacturer and Laycock being the other. Both Driven Plates and Cover Assemblies are interchangeable. In addition a raised finger version is available which once again is completely interchangeable with all other components listed.

Uprated Release Bearing GRB211HD and a phosphor bronze carrier as well as uprated parts are listed below. A light duty cover is available too. see below
