TR4A-6 uprated clutch plate, Borg and Beck. Weight 1.4kg. 8.5" (215mm) diameter. The combination of this plate and cover RTR1051 works well for fast road/hillclimb, sprint and rally with power up to 150 BHP at the wheels. Exchange

Torque capacity when used with RTR1051 or RTR1051EX cover, 224Nm (165lb/ft) This clutch can also be used on TR2 4 with either an aluminium or re drilled steel flywheel, in conjunction with a 147858PB carrier and GRB211HD TR4A-6 release bearing. Every bit as good as the out right product, but cheaper. The exchange unit you return must already be an uprated clutch plate.

This plate can also be used in TR2-4 where the flywheel has been re-drilled to accept the diaphragm cover.

 

Two types of clutch assemblies consisting of a driven plate and a cover assembly were fitted to TR4A, 250, 5 and 6, Borg and Beck being one manufacturer and Laycock being the other. Both Driven Plates and Cover Assemblies are interchangeable. In addition a raised finger version is available which once again is completely interchangeable with all other components listed.

 

Uprated Release Bearing GRB211HD and a phosphor bronze carrier as well as uprated parts are listed below. A light duty cover is available too. see below
