Universal Cabin operated Heater Water Valve Kit, includes a selection of suitable fittings, hoses and general Instructions. This kit enables precision control of heater water flow from within the cabin via a precision inline valve.

This Universal kit is suitable for all vehicles including TR2-3B with a standard heater. For other TR specific kits see below

This kit includes a suitable selection of hoses allowing it to be fitted to many cars requiring a valve. The hoses allow adaptation from the valve to 13, 16 and 19mm pipe work, clips and fittings are included as well as a 1m long operating cable.

TR2-3B's don't have a valve that is accessible from the cockpit at all, all that is available is a crude tap located in the engine bay. This kit places an inline valve allowing control of the heater from within the cabin using the cable and knob included in the kit. When this heater valve kit is fitted the heater tap on the engine block will no longer be needed and can be replaced with feed pipe kit RTR1491K. See below

This clever inline valve (inline meaning it sits in the water hose) has an internal water flow regulating tumbler with a cleverly designed aperture shape. This means that increase in water flow is proportional to lever movement, providing sensitive control of heater water flow with a very smooth, friction free operation.

There are 4 kits available in this RTR1486 range. The RTR1486-1K kit suits TR2-3B with our Clayton Heater fitted, the -2K kit provides an inline valve for TR4-6 with a standard heater fitted, the -3K kit fits TR2-3B with the standard heater fitted and the -4K kit provides a valve that screws into the cylinder head adaptor of TR4-6. The -3K kit is also a universal kit, allowing it to be fitted to any car requiring a valve as it includes adaptor hoses to suit 13, 16 and 19mm pipe work as well as a 1m long operating cable.
 
Whist  these valves are available on the general market, the valve alone is not an attractive proposition as other components are needed to effect a proper installation. The push on connections are 16mm (5/8") diameter whereas the TR heater hoses are ½" (12.7mm) and a means of attaching the cable to the operating post on the valve is required. RevingtonTR kits include all the components to make a proper installation including conversion hoses and the appropriate cable to valve post trunnion as well as all other parts needed, with instructions for a comprehensive installation. Hoses in these kits are made for us by an OEM manufacturer as are our valves, therefore as with other RevingtonTR product, quality is Assured.
