This is a big bore system with its single silencer intended for performance engines ,gives ground clearance of approximately 150mm with wheels of 300mm rolling radius fitted and standard springs. Recently redesigned, the system is now quieter, incorporating a smaller bore main pipe and larger back box, with no loss in performance, in fact as the main link pipe is mandrel bent this system offers significant performance advantage over systems manufactured using cheaper 'crush bending' techniques.
This exhaust system is specifically intended for fitment to 4 cylinder TR4A's where our high performance extractor manifold RTR2066 or similar with a single 57mm outside diameter outlet is fitted. A short link pipe RTR2045-4 is included to join the manifold to the main link pipe of kit RTR2045 and with an appropriate fitting kit nothing else should be required tp complete the instalation. Please see part number RTR2045-4 where there are photographs of the installation.
A noise test performed on a standard TR4A with this system and manifold RTR2066 fitted gave the following results: - 70db@ Idle, 82db @ 2000, 92db @ 3000, 96db at 4000 and 100db at 5000.
A twin exhaust system can also be supplied suitable to be matched to twin outlet manifolds both standard and tubular as well as our performance extractor manifold RTR2066 as follows: -
Whilst the main exhaust system remains the same the front link pipes and fitting kits vary to suit the specific applications.
RTR2006K fits TR4A, 5, and CP, CR and CF TR6 and includes a down pipe to mate to the standard exhaust manifold.
RTR2007K is identical to RTR2006K, fits TR4A, 250, 5, and all TR6 where a twin outlet extractor tubular manifold with the outlet pipes finishing where the standard down pipe finishes fitted, therefore a down pipe is not included.
RTR2006-1K fits TR4A where our high performance extractor manifold RTR2066 or similar with a single 57mm outside diameter outlet is fitted.
