TR3A Split column upper column nylon/polyurethane Bush Kit of 3 bushes. One 7/8" internal diameter for the top of the upper column, and two 3/4" internal diameter for the bottom of the upper column and for the top of the steering box tube.

The felt bush at the top of TR2-3B steering column is always troublesome. This piece of felt wrapped around the steering column is expected to locate the inner column, a job which sadly it is not up to, either being too tight when newly fitted, or too loose when (quickly) worn!  It rapidly flattens to ensure there is considerable and lasting up and down and side to side movement between the inner and outer steering columns. Fitting the bush too tight in an attempt to overcome matters will ensure the steering is heavy.
 
To overcome these problems, RevingtonTR have designed and produced a version of the 'gimbal' style bearing used at the bottom end of the split type upper column, at the top of the 'split type' lower column and on all TR4-6. This version however has an inner diameter suitable for the TR2-3B upper position only, just in front of the steering wheel. 
 
Revington TR's improved bush replaces the felt top bush affording much better location and longer life. 2 small holes must be drilled in the sides of the column to accommodate the location ears in a similar manner to the way the TR3A split column lower bushes and TR4-6 versions are located. If it is inconvenient to disassemble the column to enable the two holes to be drilled, the two ears can be removed and the bush simply pressed in to the outer column with the inner and outer column still in situ in the car.
 
This kit includes 3 bushes, one bush for the top of the upper column and two bushes for the bottom of the upper column and the top of the lower column. These lower two are direct replacements for the original parts. Fitting instructions will be emailed to you.
 
The top bush replacing the felt seal has a 7/8" internal diameter, the two for the bottom of the upper column and the top of the lower column have a 3/4" internal diameter.
