ALTERNATOR CONVERSION TR2-4A 70A INC THIN BELT
AVAILABLE This part is available to order
TR2-4A alternator conversion incorporating a 70amp alternator and a thin fan belt conversion. This kit includes along with the alternator a new support bracket essential for ensuring the alternator is adequately supported, aluminium crank and water pump pulleys and all the necessary fixings, electrical connections and instructions to make the conversion.
A 60 amp Ammeter should be used, order one of the ammeter listed below. Whilst he output of the alternator is 60 amp, there is rarely if ever going to be 70 amps going through the ammeter as this circuit is primarily used for charging the battery therefore a 60 amp ammeter will be more than adequate.
With the greater output provided by an alternator, it is feasible to add extra electrical services to your car, however be aware that the original wiring has insufficient capacity to accept additional loads. RevingtonTR strongly recommends incorporating our Auxiliary Fuse Box kit RTR8270K with this alternator installation.
NOTE: The thin belt conversion element of kits RTR8170K, RTR8130K and RTR8171K all retain the original fan arrangement. Should you wish to dispense with this and bolt the crank pulley direct to the crankshaft, order short bolt kit RTR1027K. See below.
