Conversion Kit to upgrade the wiper system on TR2-3B to replace the notoriously poor standard Motor and Wheelbox with a Heavy Duty Motor and Wheelboxes. Includes all fittings and Instructions.

TR2-3B Wiper Systems are notoriously poor and can be frankly dangerous when they are worn out. Rather than replacing the wiper system with standard parts (some of which are unavailable and some are dodgy reproductions), why not consider this upgrade?

The kit includes a Heavy Duty Wiper Motor, Mounting Bracket, Heavy Duty Wheelboxes, tubes, switch & fittings. Once installed the new system will give two speeds and Self Park and the ability to incorporate our intermittent wiper control kit RTR8351-BK, The heavy duty motor allows for the use of wiper arms with stronger springs and superior blades, both of which are included in the kit.

The kit includes a special bracket to support the wiper motor which is designed to fit where the Left Hand Drive (LHD) clutch and brake master cylinders fit. It is designed to fit with LHD brakes in place ( the wiper motor being supported above the brake cylinders) and to stand alone in RHD applications.

LHD owners with standard TR3A-B Girling brakes in place will know that the metal fluid reservoir is attached by a bracket welded to the RH side of the master cylinder carrier bracket. This reservoir bracket will need to be cut off or our top plate modified so that the top support can be fitted. It should be considered that cutting the reservoir bracket off is the best option as the whole original metal cylinder support bracket is far from rare as we have many second hand ones in stock and we expect our stock to increase as we sell more of our duel circuit brake kits. In any event a new reservoir bracket will be needed which we supply under part number RTR4081 and will need to be ordered separately as it is not supplied in the wiper kit. This is a bolt on version of the bracket welded to the Girling master cylinder bracket and will look perfect when the job is complete. This only applies to LHD cars with original Girling brake master cylinders. 

The switch included in this kit is a late TR6 rotary type which will accommodate a TR2-3B type knob with a hexagon shaft and has the added advantage of incorporating a push switch for electrical washers. Other switches are available, see below.
