HARNESS BARS (STAND ALONE)

Full harnesses are increasingly being fitted to sports cars for added safety. Lower anchor points either already exist or are easy to install. The upper anchors for shoulder straps are more difficult to  arrange as the upper body has insufficient strength. attaching the straps to the floor behind the seat is useless as the whole seat could break and with the straps, tilt forwards in a severe accident.

The solution is to fit a comprehensively bolted down harness bar to the top of the wheel aches.  we supply two simple designs, one for TR2-3B and one for TR4-6. Both are available with ferrules to accommodate eyes and snap hooks, the other being plain to accept wrap around straps. This latter version is the preferred choice of many as it is cheaper and does away with the rattling associated with metal snap connections.  

These bars can be fitted to your car on their own or with a Roll Over Bar (ROB) that does not have a harness bar or can be added to a car that already has a ROB but lacks a harness bar.
