SAFETY ROLL OVER PROTECTION ( ROP's)

RevingtonTR supply a full range of Roll Over Protection (ROP's) which take the form of Roll Over Bars (ROB's) and Full Roll Cages for the TR range. In addition to the list below, we can supply Full Roll Cages to customer requirements to special order and arrange for full roll cages to be built into any car. All ROB's allow the hood to be folded and unfolded unless specified otherwise. The following descriptions are used to describe the style of bars in our range.

ROAD BARS	have no diagonal brace and where applicable have an integral or, are provided with a separate bolt on transverse harness bar.
COMPETITION BARS	are supplied with a fixed or removable diagonal brace, and where applicable have an integral or, are provided with a separate bolt on transverse harness bar.
FULL CAGES	Complete full cage safety solution for all TR's. These cages comply with FIA rules and as the material used and the design conform with the FIA (and Motorsport UK in the UK) for most motorsport no certification is required. These cages comprise front and rear hoops, removable door and roof bars, harness bar and diagonal, and in some cases the option of a removable diagonal.

TR2-3B

ROB's RTR9047, RTR9091, and RTR9128 are made in the UK to RTR's specification and are fitted on top of the wheel arches. RTR9047 ROB's and cages (where a diagonal brace id specified) are supplied to suit Right Hand Drive (RHD) or Left Hand Drive (LHD) application as required, the difference being the position of the diagonal, which usually attaches to the top hoop above the drivers head. Please note the letter 'L' in the part number suffix indicates suitability for LHD cars and 'R' for RHD cars.

TR4-6

Road, Rally and Competition ROB's for TR4-6 soft top and hard top cars are supplied with supports that fit between the wheel arches and permit the raising and lowering of the roof with ease. All bars fit under the TR6 hard top. See below for our integral ROB and backlight frame arrangement for TR4, 4A, 250 and 5 which can also be fitted to TR6. All ROB's with a diagonal are available both RHD and LHD. The correct orientation is with the top of the diagonal above the driver's head. Please note the letter 'L' in the part number suffix indicates suitability for LHD cars and 'R' for RHD cars. 

Revington TR have produced an ingenious backlight and Surrey or hardtop arrangement with an integral roll over bar suitable for TR4, 5 and 250. This arrangement has been successfully fitted to many TR6's as well. See the Chassis and Bodywork section for details of the full kit, in particular a 'fit up' kit will be required which provides a rear window and all the parts to fit our fibreglass backlight frame to the car and the ROB.

Detailed below are the bars which fit with this arrangement which offer, as well as significant additional safety, improving rearward vision. Whilst intended for use with our backlight frame, the basic ROB's can be bought separately. They were not intended when designed to fit under the original aluminium backlight frame however customers have found this to work well.

TR7-8

Revington TR Supplies a complete range of solutions for TR7-8 Hard Top and Soft Top cars. This includes Road and Competition ROB's and Full Cages.

Note: TR7 Coupe Bolt in cage requires the dash to be cut. The rear hoop includes a fixed diagonal and a harness bar

Separate Harness Bars

Increasingly full harnesses are being worn in sports car for improved safety. If you already have a ROB without a harness bar and wish to upgrade to a harness bar then the harness bars we supply covering TR2-3B and TR4-6 will be of interest.
